Growing up on the family farm in the Western suburbs of Victoria Jarrod encountered many snakes at a young age, like most professional snake catchers he grew up watching and idolising the late Steve Irwin. Jarrod's first encounter working with snakes and crocodiles was actually at Steve Irwins' Australia Zoo in QLD at the age of 16, it was since then he knew his purpose in life and that was to work with Australia's deadliest and misunderstood animals (snakes and crocodiles). At the age of 17 he volunteered at Graham Webb's Crocodylus Park in Darwin focusing on crocodile management/keeping. At the age of 18 (Legally allowed) he started his own business called Reptile Relocations in a time when professional snake catchers didn't really exist (you could count them all on one hand).

Jarrod soon gained attention form Local and State government agencies and currently operates under contract in order to provide local residents a FREE Snake Removal Service.

Jarrod always had a passion to work with crocodiles so in 2016 he worked at Mick Burns' Crocosaurus Cove in order to gain more experience working with some of the biggest crocodiles in captivity.

Jarrod has had plenty of jobs. From a V.I.P. Blackjack/ Baccarat Dealer at Australia's largest casino to an Interstate truck driver operating Triple Road-Trains across WA-NT  and now is an accreditated Heavy vehicle Trainer/Assessor, to a crocodile keeper conducting crocodile talks in Darwin and a professional Snake Wrangler of 15 years.

Jarrod is the founder and director of Reptile Relocations Australia Pty Ltd. which is the only company to operate under local and state government contracts in order to provide a free service for its residents.
Reptile Relocations Australia Pty Ltd is the largest wildlife management company of its kind employing 11 wildlife controllers and is the go-to choice for the film industry for behind the camera snake wrangling services, such as; GLITCH and HUNTERS

Jarrod has been known as the Snake Wrangler for the past 15 years and has been granted the right to exclusive use of the term under trademark, he has also trade marked the terms Reptile Relocations and Venom Squad
